This page describes what etc-collector.com actually collects — not a generic template. It does not cover etcsec.com or the SaaS platform, which have their own practices.

This site uses Umami, an analytics tool we self-host on our own infrastructure: the data never passes through a third-party service. The script loads first-party via /telemetry/ and is configured to respect the browser's Do Not Track header and to run only on this domain. It records page views and a limited set of named events: download click (with the edition and the button's location), GitHub repository click, SaaS signup click. This site does not set any cookies.
One piece of information is kept in your browser's local storage: your light/dark display preference. It never leaves your browser.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com): your browser contacts Google's servers directly to fetch them, which exposes your IP address to Google under its own terms. Traffic to this site passes through Cloudflare, Inc., which acts as CDN and reverse proxy and processes connection metadata in that capacity. The site's Content Security Policy otherwise blocks any third-party script or connection outside these two cases.
Analytics data stays on our infrastructure and is not shared with any third party. We are not publishing a precise retention period here because we do not have a formalized retention policy yet; for questions on this point, write to [email protected] rather than rely on a generic answer.
Under the GDPR, you have a right of access, rectification, erasure, and objection over data concerning you. To exercise it, write to [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
